Breathe in fresh air that comes through from the walls at the Löwengrube restaurant, the most ancient restaurant in Bolzano. A pleasant atmosphere in a smart environment, extravagant creations and selected wines. At the Löwengrube, diners of all ages come to try the gastronomic pleasures.

In the surroundings of this well-structured building, historical tradition encounters the latest design. At the entrance, designed in a contemporary style, guests can try one of the 1,000 wines from the varied selection, before entering the oldest Stube in Bolzano. In the neo-gothic Stube of 1543, where you can admire frescos and a liberty-style ceramic heater, guests breathe in the smell of history.

Or maybe the smell comes from the floor above? The worn stone stairs with a wooden bannister lead guests into two rooms. In between little balconies and a ceramic heater, guests can also look at the Chef's kitchen where various delicacies bubble away that will enchant your palate. The motto is also valid in the kitchen: tradition and innovation that create a wonderful gastronomic and unforgettable experience.

The Löwengrube restaurant in the centre of Bolzano invites guests with its style and tradition in the most ancient Stube of the regional capital.

In the "Meiser" kitchen, tradition merges with innovation to make authentic delicacies.

Variations of Filipino tuna, ravioli di porro and speck with ruccola and rabbit cannelloni, braised veal cheek in Lagrein and banana mousse with sponge cake and hazelnut ice cream. This is the perfect menu; my mouth is already watering.

Chef Michael Meister’s original creations are not only a delight to the palate but also a pleasure for the eyes. Dishes are prepared with love and attention and are finally served with historical appeal.
