Informationen zu Ristorante Steinegger

The Steinegger restaurant and trattoria is renowned and steeped in tradition. The same family has been running it since 1669. Visitors are immediately struck by the wonderful view over Bolzano and the Dolomites. Then, when they look at the menu, they are again impressed by the seasonal, home-made dishes, understanding why the Steinegger has a special place in the hearts, and the palates, of its many regular diners.
Tyrolean dishes meet Italian antipasti, as well as home-made pasta creations. The kitchen is open all afternoon and in the evening until 9:00. On warms summer evenings, we serve dinner on the terrace, with its panoramic view.
The play area in the wood, the bowling alley, the  bowling green and the 4.5m trampoline are all available free of charge to our guests. For large parties, we recommend reserving the Steinegger Pergola, which is covered and large enough for big groups. The authentic “stube” (Tyrolean room) with its rustic style, is perfect for smaller family parties.

The Steinegger restaurant, above Appiano, is a true jewel of Alto Adige cuisine.

Among woods and orchards

Our farmhouse produces much of its own produce, with a herb garden and orchard. Here, we are dedicated to home-made food, whether it is Schlutzkrapfen (Tyroelan ravioli), Graukäsenocken (cheese dumplings) or parsley dumplings. You will also love our ravioli stuffed with parmesan and our herb risotto with quail breasts. Our desserts are also entirely home-made, including the Schwarzplent- Torte (black polenta cake), our famous apple strudel or a Scheiterhaufen (dessert made from apples and bread) made using our own apples. The restaurant is closed on Wednesdays.

One hundred percent home-made

Wine tasting

All of the wines at the Steinegger restaurant are chosen based on long experience and expertise.  Our cellar ranges from the finest Alto Adige wines to the most refined French bottles and other European wines.
Pinot Bianco, Sauvignon Blanc, Gewürztraminer, Schiava or a "Weimer Martini" raisin wine. All of our wines here at the Steineggerhof, are high-quality, including our range of international wines. Pairing the right wine with our dishes makes lunch or dinner a real pleasure. Our expert, Michael Falkensteiner, will be happy to advise you on food and wine.

Home-produced or carefully selected.
