The high mountain trail to Monte Nevoso, a mountain range with star-shaped summits

From Campo Tures – Sand in Taufers we will follow the road to the village of Rein (Riva di Tures) and beyond it to the «Säge» refreshment service area (1,580 m, parking). Route 8 is a steep ascent through the woods to the Eppacher mountain hut, and through grazing land to reach the Rifugio Kasseler Hütte-Roma (2,276 m, sleeps 70; 2:30 hours' walking time. An overnight stay is recommended). We will continue on route 1 through the gorge, across the new bridge, walking up the northern rocky ridge. Some sections will require the use of ropes.  We carry on climbing across rock, ice and snow to reach our final destination the cross of the summit (3,358 m). For safety reasons the return is via the same route.
