Dal Paese di predonico si sale per il sentiero 12 fino all'Alta Via di Appiano. Si percorre l'Alta Via, segnavia 9, fino a raggiungere il bivio per la Forcella Grande (sentiero 536). Si sale ripidamente fino alla Forcella, con alcuni tratti esposti e con cavo. Proseguire per la cima del Macaion con il segnavia 500. da lì si prosegue in discesa per il sentiero 7 (alcuni tratti con cavi), 11 e 12 fino al rientro al punto di partenza.
From the town of Predonico go up the path 12 up to the High Way of Appiano. One follows the Alta Via, trail marker 9, until you reach the junction for Forcella Grande (path 536). Climb steeply up to the Forcella, with some stretches exposed and with cable. From the Forcella continue to the top of Macaion with the trail marker 500. From there start descending along path 7 (some sections with cables), 11 and 12 until you return to the starting point.

Vicino la Forcella è possibile riempire le borracce con acqua potebile. Portarsi cibo da casa perchè non ci sono ristonranti lungo il percorso.
Near Forcella Grande it is possible to fill the water bottles with water. Have your own food because along the trip there aren't restaurants.
