Anello Monte Villandro - Totenkirche

Dal parcheggio si sale per la Knappensteig attraverso boschi fino alla Waldrast. Da qui si prosegue sempre salendo sempre più ripidamente fino ad una forcella. L'ultimo tratto, il più ripido, presenta diverse sezioni con fune dove aiutarsi a salire. Non serve l'attrezzatura ma comunque buona condizione per affrontarlo. Dalla forcella si sale fino alla cima da cui si gode di un bel panorama. Da qui si prosegue scendendo fino ad un bivio, successivamente al Totensee e poi, con un ultimo tratto, alla Totenkirche. La chiesetta è piccola e carina. Notevole sia il sentiero che la paesaggistica intorno. Da qui si scende alla Pfroderalm per una pausa, per chi lo desidera. Si risale alla chiesetta e si prende una seconda forcella da cui si scende quasi incessantemente, per sentieri, strade sterrate, un tratto tra sassi, attraverso diversi tipi di vegetazione, fino a tornare al parcheggio.

After leaving the car, follow the Knappensteig through woods to the Waldrast. From here you continue always climbing more and more steeply up to a saddle. The last part, the most vertical, is characterised by several sections with ropes to help you climb. You don't need the equipment but still good condition to face it. From the saddle go up to the top from which you can enjoy a beautiful view. From here you continue downhill to a crossroads, then to the Totensee and then and finally to the Totenkirche.  Little and nice to visit. Both the path and the surrounding landscape are remarkable. From here you go down to the Pfroderalm for a break, for those who want it. Return to the small church and take a second saddle from which you descend almost incessantly, along paths, unpaved roads, a stretch between stones, through different types of vegetation, until you return to the car.
