Rennradtouren in Montmaur

Small family circuit that offers a beautiful view of the Dévoluy massif. Do not hesitate to combine this tour with the visit of the castle of Montmaur!

Joining the Valgaudemar valley by the Dévoluy massif is a real performance. But again, the landscape is breathtaking. A trip to be done in 2 stages, between morning and afternoon. Possibility to return by train from Gap: SNCF website .

The Céüse mountain, with its rather steep climb, offers a beautiful view on Gap! The only downside for this tour is the passage of cars on a few kilometers around Gap and between La Roche des Arnauds and Veynes (9 kms).

Deserted routes, breathtaking views and mild temperatures...Riding on the Dévoluy Plateau is a must! And this trip can be ajusted to your level (for instance by excluding the col du Noyer).

Save your energy during the first 50 kilometers, because here is one of the most difficult climbs in France ... Impressive!

Climb the Col du Festre, cross the plateau Du Dévoluy then join the Lake Sautet by the Défilé de la Souloise ... Simply a very beautiful course!

Three endless ascents, from the southernmost part (Céüse) to the foothills of Bure. Great climbs, beautiful arrivals to the Mountain and Rabou.

A demanding circuit especially as the last part (Col du Noyer and Col de Rioupes) is not the easiest. But what a landscapes! You will cross the plateau Dévoluy and then bypass it from the north, passing under its beautiful cliffs. The Champsaur valley, very different, will delight you and you will have all the time to admire it by going up the "Col du Noyer".

Starting from the campsite, the first pass is the Festre. Gradual climb, with 2 more difficult turns at the level of the Cluse. Then, descent to the Défilé des Etroits (small climb before the Col des Rioupes). Climb on the Col du Noyer, which is much less difficult than if you were climbing from Gap.When you are in the village 'Noyer', do not follow the direction of Gap, but turn right (les Forestons, Poligny, Fare in Champsaur, Farelles, Villard de Laye).If you want to shorten the route, it is possible to take the train to Gap.Timetables of the train between Gap and Veynes are available on the SNCF website. (Note: buses sometimes replace trains and do not accept bicycles)

A day trip that combines more than 100kms of unforgettable cycling with a return by train to still enjoy the landscape. The railway line between Mont Dauphin and Veynes offers magnificent views and it is a pleasure to rest on the train back. Trains are fairly frequent (almost one train per hour) and schedules available here .You will not forget the descent of the Col de Moissière or the views of the Serre Ponçon Lake from Saint Apolinaire ...! This hike is simply a must!Also take the time to visit Mont Dauphin.
